Jennifer Kreider

Voice Faculty

Dr. Jennifer Kreider, soprano, is a recent graduate of Indiana University where she completed her doctorate in Voice Performance & Literature with a minor in Musicology. She received a grant for her dissertation research on 19th century female composer Carlotta Ferrari da Lodi, and she is currently editing a two-volume anthology of Ferrari’s vocal works which will be published by Classical Vocal Reprints. Along with teaching voice at Anoka Ramsey Community College, Jennifer teaches voice lessons, diction, and voice pedagogy at St. Cloud State University.
In 2024, Jennifer performed with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis where she sang the role of Sagredo and jumped into the lead role of Maria Celeste in Philip Glass’ opera Galileo Galilei. In September 2024, she was a young artist with the Britten Pears Young Artist Programme at Snape Maltings in England where she workshopped composers’ new works and performed a concert of 20th & 21st century works. In June 2025, she returned to Snape Maltings to perform a concert of world premieres with chamber orchestra at the prestigious Aldeburgh Festival. Jennifer won second place in the Upper Midwest Region of the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition in 2023 after being named a winner of the Minneapolis district. Additionally, in 2023 she premiered the featured role of Mrs. Edith Frank in the world premiere production of Shulamit Ran’s and Charles Kondek’s opera Anne Frank, and covered the role of Erika in Samuel Barber’s Vanessa at the Spoleto Festival USA. Jennifer received her Artist Diploma from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, her MM degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas, and her BM degree from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.
