Award-winning soprano Colleen Bur earned her Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2026. A versatile performer, she has appeared in principal, comprimario, and chorus roles spanning both standard and contemporary operatic repertoire. Most recently, she was selected to participate in the Dramatic Voices Program Berlin, where she performed the role of Gerhilde in Wagner's Die Walküre. Additional performance highlights include the title role in Suor Angelica at Lawrence University (2022), Mother in Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel at Bowling Green State University (2026), and performances with the Toledo Opera Chorus during its 2025–2026 season.

Her artistry has been recognized with numerous honors, including Second Place in the Ohio NATS State Competition (2025, 2026), Second Place in the Great Lakes Regional NATS Competition (2025, 2026), and Second Place in the Marjorie Conrad Art Song Competition (2025, 2026). She is recognized for her expressive storytelling, nuanced character portrayals, and commitment to technical excellence.

In addition to her performing career, Colleen is a dedicated voice teacher who is passionate about helping singers develop healthy, evidence-based vocal technique while cultivating confidence, artistry, and individual expression. She hopes to build a career that balances performance and teaching while ultimately founding an opera company dedicated to supporting and showcasing local artists in the Twin Cities.
